Can I do freelancing along with my job?

Yes, you can do freelancing while having a full-time job. Many people choose to do freelance work on the side to earn additional income, gain experience in new fields, or simply pursue their passions.

Is freelancing easy?

Freelancing can be both challenging and rewarding. On one hand, the flexibility and autonomy of freelance work can make it an attractive option for many individuals.

On the other hand, freelancers are responsible for finding and managing their own projects, negotiating rates, and handling all aspects of their business, which can be difficult and time-consuming.

Additionally, freelance income can be inconsistent and may not provide the stability of a regular salary from a full-time job. Ultimately, the ease of freelancing varies depending on the individual and the nature of their work.

Those with strong time management skills, business acumen, and a solid network of clients may find freelancing relatively easy, while others may struggle with the demands and responsibilities of self-employment.

Is Freelancing Better than a Job?

My personal opinion is YES, a BIG YES.

Why ?

Well, currently, I’m making more than $10k per month. In 2022 I made approximately $120k.

Look at the screenshot. I received $94k + alone through Upwork direct contract in the last 12 months only. And another $30,000 I collected through other payment gateways. But Im not working on Upwork though, just using their direct contract system to collect most of my payments.

In 2019 I made $11k in the whole year

In 2020 I made $30,000 in the whole year

In 2021 I made $85,000 in the whole year

In 2022 I made $120,000+ in the whole year

Whether freelancing is better than a traditional job depends on the person who’s doing that. Freelancing offers the benefits of flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to work on a variety of projects.

However, freelancers must handle the responsibilities of running their own business, including finding clients, managing finances, and handling the stress of unpredictable income. On the other hand, a traditional job provides stability, benefits, and a regular salary.

The decision between freelancing and a traditional job will ultimately come down to personal priorities, such as work-life balance, financial stability, and career growth opportunities.

It is important for individuals to consider their own needs and goals when deciding whether freelancing or a traditional job is the better option for them.
